Community Room and Library Available for Use by Outside Groups
The Community Room at the Ronald McDonald House serves as the meeting space for the organization’s Board of Directors, Staff and Volunteers and is also made available to outside groups. The Library located on the 2nd floor of the Ronald McDonald House is also available to outside groups as a meeting space. The rooms are reserved on a first-come first-serve basis, based on the calendar of RMHC of Greater Chattanooga. We are proud to be able to provide these meeting rooms for your group at little or no cost. Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Greater Chattanooga is a 501 c (3) not for profit and relies on donations. We welcome financial and in-kind donations. Click here to view and download our current wish list. Availability Our meeting rooms are available 9 a.m. until 8:45 p.m. Monday through Friday and on weekends on a first-come-first-serve basis. To reserve the room, you may contact Michele Carter, (423) 778-4334. Set-up, clean up and arrival time for your group prior to your event must be built into your scheduled time. Groups are expected to put all trash in receptacles provided and to restore room to original set-up (if group re-arranges the tables and chairs). Parking and Arrival Parking is available beyond the fence in the Erlanger lot directly beside the Ronald McDonald House. Enter through the gate at the back of the Ronald McDonald House parking lot. Please use the front door to enter the facility. Groups using our facilities must assign a member of their group at the front door to answer it for other members. All guests are required to wear visitor badges while at the Ronald McDonald House. Set up and fees There is a room rental fee of $40.00. The Community Room can be arranged in several ways:
There will be an additional $25.00 set-up charge for any style other than Double L style. Groups are welcome to move tables around the room for a meeting and then return to Double L style; there is no charge for this option. All other set-ups are done by RMHC staff. All groups using the classroom style, round tables or auditorium style must call (423) 778-4334 at least 24 hours before the event. All fees for room rental, set-up and refreshments must be received 72 hours ahead of the event and are non-refundable if the event is not cancelled by that deadline. About the Community Room The Community Room is a full service, state-of-the-art meeting space. The room is approximately 700 square feet and features a podium, write-on wipe-off board, screen, state-of-the-art flat screen monitor and speakers, overhead projector and TV/VCR. The room is equipped with audio-visual hookups for a laptop, telephone with conference capabilities and wireless internet access. You may request these features when making your room reservation. Rectangular tables are 6 ft. x 2 ft. Round tables are 60” round. There are a total of 12 rectangular tables and 6 round tables available. Tablecloths are not available. House Tours In addition, we offer House tours to interested groups and welcome donations of items from our wish list. Hours of availability are from 9 a.m. until 8:45 p.m., Monday through Friday. Special arrangements must be made if requiring a tour during the weekend. To schedule a House tour, you may contact Michele Carter, (423) 778-4334.
Please Note: The House’s meeting spaces are not to be used for any activity that is primarily for the entertainment of children under the age of 10 because of our concern for infectious diseases that might compromise the health of resident families.
