Since 1990, Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Greater Chattanooga (RMHC® of Greater Chattanooga) has been helping families stay together and close to the care they need through the Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room. We provide a place like home and make children happier and healthier by making sure their families are footsteps from their hospital room– giving them a place to rest and refresh.
The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Greater Chattanooga is to provide families with the care and resources they need when their child is sick and to support programs and services that directly improve the health and well-being of children.
With the help of our local community and a strong network of chapters to share best practices, RMHC of Greater Chattanooga is able to carry out its mission by providing the best possible resources, facilities, and services benefiting children and their families at a time of need or medical crisis.
The Ronald McDonald House has been McDonald’s “charity of choice” since the first House was founded in Philadelphia in 1974. RMHC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation and McDonald’s is our largest corporate donor.
McDonald’s involvement extends beyond monetary support:
The McDonald’s Owner/Operators are a loyal and generous group, but no one company can solely fund RMHC of Greater Chattanooga. The remainder of our annual operating income is secured through the generosity of individuals, organizations, foundations, civic and service organizations, and many other corporate donors. We depend on the entire Greater Chattanooga community and greatly value the wide range of support for our very important mission.
We the Board of Directors, employees and volunteers in participation with Erlanger Health Systems, our donors and other stakeholders, work together to embrace the following shared core values to accomplish the mission and vision of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga.
